Same Race Different Pace

So I have been studying the Book of Mormon in my class at school. I just want to say thank you to Alex for extending the invitation to participate in this reading schedule. I've noticed that in reading the Book of Mormon at two different paces is really helping me to emphasize those verses that stuck out to me the first time reading them but also it's helping me to pick up on the verses that didn't stink the first time. I already see the blessing in reading this amazing book and i hope all of you feel the blessings.

Good Luck,
Taylor

An Example To Us All

Here is a picture my mom sent to me of cute little Maren diligently reading her scriptures. Let her be an inspiration to us all!

Maren's quest

I just wanted to share how moved I was by Maren last night. She's almost 8 and started late to reading because she didn't have a book. Anyway she got one from Risa and she's read I believe Chapter 2. She asked me last night if she had to read chapter 3 because it wasn't on the schedule. What a sweetheart. And what amazing faith. I love that girl!!!

The Journey Begins

Hey everyone!
I am so excited that you guys decided to join me in my adventure to finish the Book of Mormon by the end of September. I don't know about you guys, but I have been having such an amazing and powerful experience through my scripture studying. I have read 1st Nephi so many times, however I usually would read right before going to bed. This may work for many of you, however I noticed i would wake up and have no clue what i read the night before. This time I have made a habit to read during the day with a pen in hand. So many great and wonderful things have jumped out to me during my reading. This is why I have decided to make this blog. Personally I want to share all of my wonderful learnings with you guys, but more importantly I want to learn about everything that is jumping out to you and leaving impressions on your hearts. Jordan and I were talking the other day and the things that impressed him, i never thought about and loved learning. This can be a great experience for everyone.
I am so excited to keep traveling deeper and deeper into this wonderful book that was sent to guide us through all the many challenges that we will face during our time here on earth. I am even more excited to take this journey with the people I love the most in this world. I am proud of everyone of you for willingly joining in. I know that if you sincerely open the pages, with a prayer in your heart, asking for the spirit, you will be blessed with answers to your prayers and knowledge that our father in heaven truly loves you and wants you to be happy.

LOVE YOU ALL!
-Alex
